Swahili words in poetry

Mambo! Did you know Swahili is the richest native African language when it comes to literature in general and poetry in particular? East African coastal peoples have been composing and singing poetry in Swahili language for more than five centuries. I have collected, translated into English and analysed some of those poems in my new blog:

I have also made some introductory essays on Swahili literature, culture and history through the centuries. I hope other enthusiasts will jump in and join this beautiful conversation.
