CONTENT YOU NEED AS A SKINCARE BUSINESS

Skincare is the usage of cosmetics to improve the condition of your skin.

When starting a skincare business you must first understand the audience you’re going after. Is it for problematic or unproblematic skin? Is it for dry, rough, oily, or combined skin types? So many questions to ask yourself.

And all these questions will really help you set off your business. Making products for your skincare brand won’t be a hassle at all.

WHAT DO SKINCARE BUSINESSES SHARE IN COMMON?

You don’t just make skincare products for the sake of skincare products. There are things that all these skincare brands and businesses share in common like;

  • They have a target market for their products
  • They have influencer marketing. No matter how small
  • Their online presences scream beauty and results
  • Impressive tag lines.

There are so many things that all these brands share and honestly, it’s just inevitable!

After you learn how to start an online business from scratch or how to finally make an online presence with your skincare or beauty business, you’ll need content.

And not just any content like posting a flower and writing a random caption for it. NO. You need content that SELLS

Content that would leave your customers wanting more. Those which will also bring you in new customers. Remember to be real and genuine.

WHAT CONTENT DO YOU NEED AS A SKINCARE BUSINESS?

………

GET READY WITH ME.

This could either be a morning routine or a night routine. These are the best times people usually do their skincare. Do a nice get ready with me the short video that clearly shows you how you use the products that you sell. Not all products can be applied every day and not everything is applied the same

You build trust when your customers see you using the same things that you’re selling them.

PRODUCT PLACEMENT AND STORAGE.

How and where do you store or place these products? In your room, in the bathroom, do you avoid direct sunlight or water?

Some products are made of active ingredients and shouldn’t be left in moist places such as the bathroom. Others can be placed practically anywhere. Teach them how to store them to avoid further skin issues (or developing)

MAKE TUTORIALS.

Just like get ready with me, make a video teaching your customers how to use your products.

But instead of a short video, make this one in-depth.

Show them how to use a cleanser right, how to use a toner, serums, and all other skincare products you are selling. There is no better way of gaining lifelong customers than when they actually feel safe with your business and this is the best way.

SHOW BEFORE AND AFTER REVIEWS.

You have had customers that have seen a positive outcome of your products. Ask them for a before and after review that you can share with your audience.

Whenever ANYONE wants to buy skincare and beauty products, the first thing they would always look for is reviews. Skincare and beauty, in general, is a very sensitive topic, especially for people with skin issues

I doubt anyone would like to lose hundreds of dollars for a product that doesn’t work.

BEHIND THE SCENES

A behind-the-scenes video of how you formulate your products is a mine for your business.

Most businesses don’t bother to do this but it’s very vital

Record a short video of your company or warehouse or factory where you and your employees are making these products. Let your customers get the inside look of how the products they’re using are made. Showing them hygiene measures you take is a big YES.

PACK AN ORDER

Show how you pack an order

When customers go into a retail store, the first thing they’ll notice might be the music, the personal touch of the staff, or even the decorations.

As a skincare business (especially online), the closest thing you can give is the packing and the unboxing moment. Make the customer feel like you’re packing a gift for them.

You should always make an effort when it comes to packing and packaging. Make sure nothing’s broken or missing and you can also include a handwritten thank you note or a sweet little skincare quote too.

INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT

What better way to lure in customers than to be transparent about the ingredients you use in your products?

Show them all the ingredients that their skins consume one by one, each with its own benefits and side effects

DO NOT LIE about what you put and don’t put in your products. Many people have skin issues and may have allergic reactions to some ingredients that may make their skin worse.

Not to mention, you’d single-handedly destroyed the credibility of your business. No one will trust your products again and you’ll lose customers.

Hope you learned something.
